Mission Statement
The Ladies of Charity of the United States of America (LCUSA) is a federation of Catholic women that continues, expands and improves the charitable and spiritual works accomplished by the local associations of the Ladies of Charity in the United States by:
It fosters closer, more vital links, with the Association of International Charities (AIC) so as to profit from the experiences of Ladies of Charity world-wide and to be supportive of sister associations in their efforts to respond to unmet needs.
The concern of the Ladies of Charity, therefore, goes beyond strictly parochial matters and embraces the total community.  As circumstances direct and time permits, the Ladies engage in civic activities, bringing the same witness of charity to these.  They cooperate with other community groups, especially in activities for the relief of the poor and for the betterment of social conditions.  They strive to build a true community, based on common interests, goals and activities, and held together with the bond of friendship which mirrors the union of love to which the followers of Christ should bear witness.
