• Assists the President with the correspondence of the Association to ensure that association meetings are conducted in a business-like manner, the association must have a set of guidelines or BYLAWS. The association´s bylaws provide direction for the officers, the spiritual moderator, the spiritual adviser, and the individual members.
  
  

• The Association of Ladies of Charity Diocese of Pittsburgh board of directors became aware of parish associations that do not have bylaws. To help these associations, a former ALCDP President reviewed copies of bylaws already in effect and composed an example format for parish association bylaws. The form is meant to be a guideline for writing parish association bylaws, and the association officers should provide copies to all members for formal adoption.
  
  

• When the parish association has adopted its bylaws, there can be no argument about the rules of the association. Meetings will be conducted in a business-like manner and inquiries from women wanting to become Ladies of Charity will increase.
