The Association of Ladies of Charity Diocese of Pittsburgh board of directors became aware of parish associations that do not have bylaws. To help these associations, a former ALCDP President reviewed copies of bylaws already in effect and composed an example format for parish association bylaws. The form is meant to be a guideline for writing parish association bylaws, and the association officers should provide copies to all members for formal adoption.

When the parish association has adopted its bylaws, there can be no argument about the rules of the association. Meetings will be conducted in a business-like manner and inquiries from women wanting to become Ladies of Charity will increase.
